Crime Figures 16 April 2013 to 15 May 2013

There have been 2 reports of burglary in Spofforth, one in  Grange Avenue again and the other on Columbine Terrace.  Last  month a house burglary in Spofforth was reported where the car was taken; 2 males from Newcastle have been arrested in connection with the offence after being caught committing crime in Northumbria using the car on false registration plates.

Door to door salesmen are operating in the area again; all incidents of this nature are to be reported to the Police using the number 101 and 999 if in an emergency. The individuals involved are often operating withoout a Pedlar's certificate and goods have been seized by the Police from 2 youths so far (both youths being from the Middlesborough area).

Spofforth Village Beer Festival 2013

The Village Society would like to thank all sponsors, supporters, helpers and the WI sandwich makers for all their help in making the 2013 Beer Festival a resounding success.  We raised over £2000, the proceeds of which will be shared between All Saint's Church Spofforth and for an appliance for the new kitchen in our Village Hall.
